How old is he now?

Clifford looks the same as he did before, except that he now has the hands and feet of a tiny baby. Could have been worse!

Where is the rest of the baby and what is Clifford carrying its hands and feet in? More importantly, whose baby is it? <grins>

It would be comforting to those of us who care about you to hear occasionally that you are ok... you don't owe it to us, but we do worry.

Yeah, I guess it's been over a month?

For those who are worried, I've exchanged email with E. and he is OK but taking a break.

It's good to hear from you! I feel regret that the roller coaster of my life and choices results in disappointment for you and the other space cadets. I know it's not very important in the grand scheme of things, but the fact that you commented reminds me that at some level, what I shared was meaningful to someone, which is bittersweet. Some combination of guilt and nostalgia makes me want to say, "Yes! Let's pick up where we left off!" But I'm not sure I trust my motivations.

I took a long break—at least a year—from any kind of concentrated creative endeavor. For the past few months, I've been slowly developing a new and challenging concept that is highly compelling to me, but I haven't been convinced yet that it has wings. Anyway, thanks for reminding me that you're still out there. I hope you're well.

As you say it's not so important. I will say that Westward was undoubtedly one of the finest pieces of fiction I ever experienced and Page of Pulp while perhaps sitting a bit on its shadow was absolutely riveting too. It is a shame either work will never reach completion, but such is often the lot of both life and fiction. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to answer my random comment. Let us know if that project ever comes to fruition, of course, but if not, be well. And thank you for everything

Thank you for the nudge. It's compelled me to put some serious thought into whether I've been thinking about things the right way. Stay tuned.
